Welcome to unit 2 on Precedent Studies.
The unit has a research component aimed at introducing you to principles of housing in both global and local projects. You will be guided on how to study, analyse and graphically document selected housing projects and present your findings in class.

Welcome to unit 3 on Site Analysis and Field Studies
This unit is comprised of site analysis and field surveys and aims at introducing you to the real world of informal housing, surveying informality at house, cluster and neighbourhood scales to identify underlying problems / issues. The analysis shall be divided into five themes; Environmental, Spatial, Architectural, Contextual and Functional.

Welcome to unit 4 on Design Intervention I
This unit allows you to explore existing informal spatial qualities and make interventions of space interconnections between private, semi-public and public space, while making minimum changes to the existing fabric at the plot scale. You will guided in finding ways to improve infrastructure and services in situ.
