AGRI4121: Agribusiness Management
Semester 1

Agribusiness Management is the application of business principles to agricultural production, processing and marketing. The course covers farm management including production planning for crops and livestock and resource management, finance and budgeting such as cost control, cash flow and financial analysis, and marketing involving market analysis, branding and customer outreach. It also includes agribusiness planning with strategic goals and decision-making, risk management through assessment, mitigation, insurance and compliance, human resources for recruitment, training and labor management, and supply chain management for procurement, logistics and supplier partnerships. Finally, it integrates technology and innovation like precision agriculture, IoT and data analytics to drive productivity, sustainability, profitability and growth of agribusiness enterprises.
