SMS1313: Elements of Statistics

The aim of this module is to provide knowledge and skills sufficient to allow students to understand the role of statistics in science and in other domains, and to develop skills in the basic methods in data collection, presentation and analysis. In this module we will focus on the fundamental of statistics, descriptive statistics, introducing graphical methods of describing data, regression and correlation analysis.
