LOG6113: Administrative, Political & Legal Framework of Local Government
Semester 1

The module of administrative, political and legal framework of local government is intended to expose and familiarize students with key features of governance with reference to decentralization, political, legal structures and the Rwanda experience. It therefore, examines theoretical philosophies in public administration, political governance and legal background. It investigates political practices from Africa perspectives by focusing mainly on structural means that govern decision-making in local authorities. Hence, the Rwanda reflects deeply on Rwanda experiences in Local Government that result from political structures, laws and administrative regulations. It equips students with the necessary skills to understand political, administrative and legal realities and in addition link these important issues with each other. Thus, students are enabled to efficiently work in senior management positions at local government levels.
