LOG6111: FOUNDATION OF LOCAL GOVERNANCE

Brief description of aims and content

Foundation of Local Governance looks at the theoretical framework and application of governance from perspectives of administration, legislation, procurement, legal dimensions. It examines public policy formation mechanisms and public policy analysis, the principles of citizens’ participatory, inclusiveness, and engagement. The element of capacity building for political involvement and advocacy are examined for a sustainable political and economic development of a nation. The aforementioned enables students to identify the most important obstacles to governance on individual, organizational and institutional level and to sufficiently address these issues.
