IR3211: Foreign Policy Analysis

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF AIMS AND CONTENT

The aim of this course is to introduce the students to foreign policy as a concept in international relations. The course x-rays the components of foreign policy of independent states show-casing the factors that determine or affect the foreign policies of nations. The course also teaches the students the importance of foreign policy as guide of national actions in the international behaviour of sovereign states. The course further exposes students to the basic rules and regulations guiding decision-makers in foreign policy decision-making.
