MAT2141: Statistics and Probability

This module will introduce to you to different concepts of description statistics such as different types of data, methods of data correction, data presentation, measures of central tendency and dispersion. Probability helps us to make decision when we are not sure of what will be the outcome. This module will introduces to you to concepts of counting techniques, the sample space, event and the probability on an event. The axioms of probability, the concept of random variable, and the some discrete as well as continuous distribution functions will discussed with clear examples found in our daily life.
