Dear students,
Welcome to the module of Socio-Legal Research Methodology and Seminars. It is made of two components: Socio-Legal Research Methodology on the one hand and Seminars on the other hand.
Module's aim
The 1st component aims at helping students to further their research skills by informing them on the different research tools used in social sciences in general and those typically used in legal research in particular. It further aims at informing students on what a legal research and final project in law is all about, how it looks like, how it has to be structured and how legal sources to be presented.
The 2nd component aims at helping students to analyze problematic issue of a topic of law, propose solutions thereof, publicly present the results of the research and make a report of the research.
Intended outcomes
By the end of the component of Socio-Legal Research Methodology, students will be able to:
Choose and formulate relevant research topic in the are of law;
Draft down research proposals and final research projects (dissertations) in the end;
Present correctly references and be abide by ethical rules in academic writings.
At the end of Seminars, students should be able to:
Analyze problematic issue of a topic of law from public or private, propose solutions thereof, publicly present the results of the research and make a report of the research.
