VM80783: Theriogenology I
Semester 1

The aim of this module is to provide the student with knowledge and practical skills in Gynecology and Obstetrics of animals. The students will acquire knowledge and skills in healthcare of the pregnant, parturient, and post parturient animals. Furthermore, students will be able to detect abnormalities of the reproductive system and understand underlying urogenital conditions requiring surgical intervention in livestock farm and companion animals in Veterinary Medicine. 

In summary, theriogenology is a multifaceted field that encompasses many aspects of animal reproduction and plays a critical role in ensuring the health, breeding, and conservation of various animal species. Theriogenologists use their expertise to promote animal welfare and contribute to scientific advancements in reproductive technologies and wildlife conservation efforts.
