This module introduces the fundamental concepts of medical mycology, including the nature, structure, morphology, classification, and roles of fungi. It covers major groups of medically important fungi, with emphasis on dermatophytes, yeasts, moulds, and dimorphic fungi, as well as the different forms of mycoses and their clinical significance.
