CPR3222: Crop Protection

The Crop Protection course equips students with the scientific knowledge and practical skills required to identify, assess, prevent, and manage insect pests, plant diseases, weeds, and other threats to crop health. Through field-based diagnosis, monitoring, and the evaluation of cultural, biological, physical, genetic, and chemical control methods, students will learn to design integrated crop-protection programmes that improve productivity while safeguarding human health, beneficial organisms, and the environment. The course promotes evidence-based decision-making and the responsible, ethical, and sustainable management of crop threats across diverse agricultural production systems.
