ECO1141: MATHEMATICS FOR ECONOMICS (DTP DEGREE PROGRAM)

Dear students 

Welcome to ECO1141. The course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills applied in solving economic problems. Furthermore, a key objective of this module is to ensure that the students acquire an understanding and facility in the mathematical processes so essential to their development in a variety of economic disciplines. This module introduces the basic principles of mathematical functions, equations, matrices, optimization, cost volume profit analysis, financial mathematics, linear programming, differentiation and integration. Various online activities are provided and this will be helpful in using and applying calculations which is a key step in acquiring understanding. Besides, the content of this module is very useful in daily life situation.
