EAP 2112: ENGLISH FOR ACADEMIC PURPOSES_HUYE- CMHS
Year 3

 This part of the module is a continuation of EAP 2112 part one, delivered in Semester/ trimester 1. It will focus on advanced academic reading and  writing, and will tackle other aspects such as critical reading and thinking, writing techniques like avoiding plagiarism by summarizing, paraphrasing, synthesizing, citing sources and referencing, rhetorical functions in academic writing. There will be also a focus on practice in oral presentation (speaking) skills and a room for discussion at a weekly basis. This content is more practical, which requires every student to be fully engaged both in reading provided  materials and resources and doing activities as well as documenting yourself  on the issues for which you need more information.  

EAP3113: English for Academic Purposes Term 2_Nyagatare
Year 3

This part of the module aims to equip year 3 students with advanced knowledge and skills to enhance their academic and scientific writing. The content consists of academic essay writing, speaking skills for academic purposes, listening skills for academic purposes, reading skills for academic purposes, critical reading, critical thinking, plagiarism, citing and referencing, information sources, research proposal writing, and rhetorical writing.

English for Academic Purpose_Remera
Year 3

This part of the module focuses on advanced academic reading and advanced academic writing. It will therefore deal with critical reading and thinking, writing techniques like avoiding plagiarism by   summarizing, paraphrasing, synthesizing, citing sources and referencing, rhetorical functions in academic writing. The module aims to equip second year students with advanced knowledge and skills to enhance their academic and scientific writing.  The content will consist of  reading skills for academic purposes, critical readingcritical thinking, plagiarism, citing and referencing, information sources, research proposal writing, and rhetorical writing.
