Welcome to the module "PDE6143-Inclusive Education and Special Needs Education"!

• This module is taught to PGDE (Postgraduate Diploma in Education) students.

• Blended learning (online and face-to-face) is the module delivery mode.

• The module is organised and divided into 4 units.

Module aim

This module aims to help you learn how to adapt educational practices to various special educational needs of learners in an inclusive educational setting.

Module learning outcomes

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

1. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of various basic concepts of Special Needs Education and various special educational needs among learners;
2. Apply effective teaching/learning strategies for learners with special educational needs;
3. Identify learners’ individual limitations/needs and strengths;
4. Explain how to adapt educational practices for accommodating learners with special educational needs in an inclusive education setting.
