    By the end of this component students will:
    1. Be able to understand the general concepts of veterinary toxicology
    2. Be able to diagnose and prescribe appropriate treatment for the most common animal toxicoses.

    Indicative contents :

    1. General principles of veterinary toxicology
    - Toxicokinetics and toxicodynamics
    - General approach to diagnosis and treatment of toxicoses
    2.Toxicology of selected toxicants
    - Toxicology of pesticides
    - Biotoxins
    - Poisonous plants
    - Industrial toxicants (organic and inorganic chemicals)
