This module explores the stereochemical properties of organic compounds, with emphasis on stereoisomerism and optical activity. It examines the stereospecificity and regioselectivity of selected organic reactions, alongside different types of isomers and the factors influencing conformational stability. The module also reviews the principles and mechanisms of organic synthesis, focusing on the SN1, SN2, E1, and E2 pathways in both acyclic and cyclic molecules. Finally, it analyzes important named reactions in organic chemistry, highlighting their applications and mechanistic insights.
