This module introduces students to the major components and processes of the physical environment through the study of climatology, geomorphology, hydrology, and applied geography. It provides an understanding of atmospheric circulation systems, world climate types, landform development, hydrological processes, and water resource analysis. The module further equips students with practical skills in climatic classification, geomorphological interpretation, hydrological analysis, and geographical problem-solving. Emphasis is placed on the application of geographical knowledge and analytical techniques in understanding environmental systems and addressing contemporary environmental and resource management challenges at local, regional, and global scales.
