Semester 3

The course introduces learners to main literary genres such as prose fiction, nonfiction prose, poetry, and drama from various epochs and cultures of the world. It is designed to help students critically engage with issues raised by diverse authors, with particular interest in literary generic elements such as style, characters, plot, themes, setting and language use. Through close reading and analysis, students will gain a deeper appreciation of literature’s role in reflecting and shaping human experience.
