Semester One

The aim of this module is to equip students for the very different learning and teaching style on the various concepts of ways in which microorganisms acquire their life requirements in their ecological environments based on physiological features via the understanding of major aspects of microbial ecology, genetics, growth and metabolism. The module will also focus on enzyme kinetics, mechanisms of enzyme catalysis, and enzyme regulation in the cell.
