ED80342: Early childhood curriculum development
Semester 1

This module allows student teachers to create a conducive learning environment and develop an appropriate early childhood curriculum. It covers topics like setting the stage for learning (planning and implementing effective small-group activities and whole group activities, organizing the learning environment, child guidance, individually appropriate instruction); children’s comprehensive curriculum domains (Aesthetic domain, affective domain, cognitive domain, language domain, physical domain, social domain); curriculum integration: Thematic approach.

ECE2143: CHILDREN'S NEEDS RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES AND POLICY
Semester 1

This module introduces students to various needs, rights and responsibilities entitled to children for them to support them accordingly since they are supposed to know children before teaching them.  It also takes them through Rwandan practices in relation to children' rights protection in relation to international standards.
