This module is designed for BSc anesthesia students to enable them to develop competency in the provision of compassionate, respectful, and caring management of Regional Anesthesia and pain for both inpatient and outpatient settings in most patient groups and circumstances. They will be equipped to become an effective member of a multi-professional team in providing regional Anesthesia and pain medicine services with an in-depth understanding of the importance of managing pain promptly. Moreover, they will have basic competency in assessing and managing regional anesthesia-related
acute and chronic pain. Finally, graduates will be aware of the need for multi-professional input and embrace this in the management of Regional anesthesia, acute and chronic pain.
