The clinical Chemistry 1 module introduces the students to the topic of chemical detection and measurement in clinical Laboratory. This module provides fundamental knowledge in analytical chemistry and Clinical chemistry, and a strong background in quantitative and qualitative analysis of biomedical specimens.
The module will enable students to describe the biochemical functions and importance of proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids, vitamins and hormones. Students will be able to appreciate the effects of biochemical processes on the functioning of human body. Students will also be able to relate metabolic disorders with the biochemical reactions.
