This module aims to equip the learner with the knowledge, skills and appropriate attitudes required in order to provide evidence-based care for high-risk new-born, complexities of abnormality, and sick neonates. To prevent risk and manage special neonatal problems with specialized care. Its also focuses on basic emergency neonatal care.

Semester 1

This module aims at providing knowledge, skills and attitude to identify and manage common obstetrical, nutritional, psychiatric condition in the community in a safe and competent manner for women, their infants and family as a whole, which will contribute to reduction of maternal, neonatal and child morbidity and mortality.

MW70551: Midwifery science II
Semester 1

This module aims to equip the learner with the knowledge and skills in maternal physiology in order to manage the complexities and abnormalities of pregnancy, labor, and postpartum in reproductive processes, and pathological conditions of women, provision of comprehensive safe care to women.

Midwives provide high quality, culturally sensitive health services to all in the community in order to promote healthy family life and Manage complications as necessary.
