Changes are a fact of our daily lives, physical scientists use mathematics models to investigate phenomena such as the motion of planets, the decay of radioactive substances, chemical reaction rates, ocean currents etc. The purpose of this module is to lay a solid mathematical foundation for future scientists and introduces them to the basic mathematics that will be requiring by them in sciences. This module covers Basic Mathematics.
The module also introduces students to some of the current research problems of importance in biology/chemistry where basic knowledge of mathematics may be applied.
