Semester 1

This module equips the learner with advanced knowledge, skills and behaviour in the provision of primary and secondary health promotion and disease prevention. It addresses health education affecting newborns and women across the lifespan, with a focus on individual midwifery care as well as families, communities, and national and international programmes.
